Substitute Positions at Haskell CISD

The daily rate for a substitute with a bachelor's degree is $80 per day.  The daily rate for a substitute without a degree is $70 per day.  When a teacher substitute has worked in the same position for 10 consecutive days, the pay is $110 per day.  The rate for all cafeteria and maintenance substitutes is $8.75 per hour. 

All substitute applicants must be fingerprinted prior to being employed, according to Texas state law.  In order to have this process started, please complete the substitute application below and submit it online or mail it to Haskell CISD, PO Box 937, Haskell, Texas 79521.
   You will be contacted upon receipt of your application.

Haskell CISD is now accepting applications for a full time Maintenance/Grounds Keeper. You will have to undergo a criminal background check through the Texas DPS. All applicants must have knowledge of basic principles of maintenance duties. You may pick up an application at the Haskell CISD Administration Office at 605 N. High School Campus:

 

Girls Coordinator/ Head Girls Basketball/ JH/HS Teaching position

PROUD TIA DISTRICT

 

Haskell is seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Girls Program Coordinator to join our athletic program.  We are looking for a Head Girls Basketball coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes on and off the field, with a strong emphasis on fundamentals, accountability, and team culture.  This position also includes a teaching assignment, and the expectations for the classroom match the high expectations of this coaching assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching assignment (teaching assignment determines TIA eligibility)
  • Coach and develop the athletes with attention to technique, toughness, and teamwork
  • Collaborate with coaching staff on game plans, practice structure, and in-game adjustments
  • Build meaningful relationships with players, families, and school staff
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students
  • Assist with film breakdown, opponent scouting, and Hudl analysis
  • Participate in staff meetings, community outreach, and offseason development programs

Qualifications:

  • Coaching and classroom experience 
  • Strong leadership skills, athletic IQ, and the ability to communicate clearly
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and committed to building a positive culture
  • Ability to connect with and motivate teenage athletes
  • Texas Teaching Certification
  • CDL or willing to obtain is a must

Preferred:

  • Experience with Hudl and digital coaching tools

Assistant Coach/ Teacher (social studies preferred)

JH/HS School Cafeteria Food Service Assistant

Haskell CISD is seeking a dedicated JH/HS School Cafeteria Food Service Assistant to help us provide healthy, appealing, and nutritious meals to our students.  The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, production, maintain a clean kitchen, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of school breakfast and lunch menu items.
  • Set up food lines, serve meals to students, and ensure proper portion control.
  • Wash dishes, sanitize food preparation surfaces, and sweep/mop floors at the end of shifts.
  • Receive, unpack, and properly store food deliveries and supplies.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's permit/certification
  • Basic math skills for operating registers and measuring ingredients
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude toward students and staff
  • Summer workshop required for professional standards

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to [e.g., 40] pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a warm kitchen environment with exposure to commercial cleaning chemicals
