The RPTS would like to say “Thank You” to all of you who purchased RPTS shop built items prior to Christmas. The proceeds went towards the scholarships listed above.
The RPTS would also like to send a “Thank You” to those of you and your businesses who contributed to the “Last Strike” Welding Contest and “Thank You” to the following that contributed directly to the RPTS & Last Strike Scholarship fund: Frank & Marilyn Bailey, Terry Letz Services, Summit Supply, and Joey & Tiffany Thomas.
Because of the combined contributions, a total of just over $6000 in scholarships will be awarded to the RPTS recipients.
Teagan Reyna placed third in the cutting competition last Friday @ TSTC Sweetwater's Contest. Approx. 30 students participated in the cutting competition. Teagan received the award from TSTC recruiter Zack Hall today at Rochester. Along with awards Teagan received a $250 scholarship to TSTC. There were 149 contestants in all events. We are still waiting for results in the welding contests to determine who will earn certifications. Some welds were sent for X-rays.

Hello! It's WHPD time again. I told Kelli Brown that I would pass these along to you. There was low participation in the Project Fair last year. Please pass along this info. to everyone and maybe we can increase numbers. Anyone of any age can participate in the Project Fair. This is Old County Fair Fun! Check out the categories and hopefully you, your students, and other adults & students from the County can find something to enter.
The Ag Mech show is limited to students only. Hopefully this year will be a big success. (Please see the attachments.)

Several Haskell High RPTS Students recently participated in Texas State Technical Colleges National Signing Day on April 10; 2025. The students have committed to enrollment and pursuing a career through career and technical education. The following students plan to attend TSTC: Zachary Baker-HVAC program/ Brayden Fisher-HVAC program/ Keagan Solano-Welding program/ Michael Ervin-Lineman program/ Jonathan Brown-Lineman program/ (not pictured)- Logan DeLaCruz-Lineman program/ (not pictured)-Teagan Reyna-Truck Driving program.
RPTS student, Alexander Whitt has committed to attend WyoTechnical Institute in pursuit of the Automotive program.
