This is a new program at the Abilene Campus and Logan will be in the first class beginning  in the fall semester. Knox City High School senior Wyatt Casillas signed with TSTC Waco in the Aviation Mechanical Technology program. Wyatt will also begin his career in the fall of 24'.

In late October RPTS students performed maintenance and safe operation of small engines and tractors.

The Rolling Plains Technical School held an Oxy-Acetylene Speed Cutting Competition Sept. 8, 23. The event was sponsored by Jason and Tamara Smart and family due to proceeds from the Jaden Smart Memorial Fun Run in memory of Jaden Smart.  Jason is in the picture donating a Weldcote welding helmet and gift card from KP's Welding Supply to:

Rolling Plains Technical School Students attended the W.O.W. Conference on September 26; 2023. The annual event was held at the Abilene Civic Center.  Approximately  3000 students, volunteers, and presenters participated. RPTS students were able to listen to a motivational speaker, visit with recruiters from colleges, tech schools, military, and occupational and industry professionals. Once again, RPTS students served as "Presentors" for the event by providing "Hands-On" instruction to Big Country students in welding and they also hosted a Nail-Driving Competition. "The RPTS students stepped up and did a wonderful job of inspiring and mentoring other students!"  The RPTS is one of the few high school organizations that provides training at the W.O.W. Conference.
